Newcastle has some of the most gorgeous coastline along the east coast, with one stretch from Swansea Channel in the south all the way up to Newcastle Harbour.  This winds up being around 26.9km of beaches, bushtracks, and the famous Bathers’ Way before arriving at Nobbys Headland.

Based on the success of sister-event the Lighthouse 2 Skillion Coast Walk on the Central Coast, the Blacksmiths 2 Breakwall Coast Walk is coming on Sunday 09 October 2016.

On this date, thousands of Novocastrians and visitors to Newcastle and the Hunter will start walking north from just beside Swansea Channel at Blacksmiths, and not stop until they reach Nobbys.

This is a 100% charity event, with all proceeds going to the Surf Life Saving Clubs in the Hunter Branch, with monies also being donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and also to Ronald McDonald House
